How's it going? It's time to put some life back into this lifeless blog! It's soo depressing reading the 05S76 class blog... It's BORING too! You know... I can have an awesome day but logging on to the class blog is enough to take the smile off my face! You have people posting about how they're sorry for something, the oedipus complex, A levels coming, people making mistakes...WHO REALLY WANTS TO READ ABOUT ALL THAT!? Let's talk about after promos ok? Let's go out! Let's have some fun! We'll watch movies and eat and play games... We'll go swimming, we'll play pool, we'll tease WH about LJ (and vice versa), we'll laugh at Tang and Janice and we'll enjoy ourselves... Come on guys... Life on earth's short! Why give yourself grey hair now!? You'll have plenty of time to do that when you're about 50 ;)... Ya... I know promos are this week... Study hard but don't kill yourselves... :) It's important to take a break while you're studying too! Watch TV! And Michelle, Lim Young, John, Yan Yan, James... DON'T STOP GOING TO CHURCH! Church is FAR more important! Ooh... And always, ALWAYS have a smile on your face! :) There're so many things to look forward to! dont know who the heck still reads this blog? haha but i do visit it now and then alrightt?

nothing administrative this time. just a few stuff that struck me noww. being sick gives a person more time to think about stuff like this.

remember the class donation? 8bucks per person thing? for the children cancer fund. jt thought i shld let you pple know how PROUD we all shld be of each other. even though we didnt manage to hit the final mark of 8bucks/person, we still managedd at least half of it, which is commendable...especially with the recent NKF rubbish, that has made all of us skeptical about donating to charitable organisations like these. after realising that there were infact many classes who didnt manage to hit the 20bucks mark, cldnt help but felt a small swell of pride inside. WE WILL DO BETTER NEXT TIME. :D lets be known, not only as a class of bio brains, but as a class of big hefty hearts as well? ahhhhaaa!!! bad alliteration. :D

know how tough it is for all of us to manage with the stupid timetable too. : p i had a nightmare the other dayy, we had a new timetable with 5 5.20pm days, hahaha, almost diedd. know that this timetable has deprived us of alot of class-outing, classlunch, classdinner dates. after all, with so little time and so much to study for, somethings have to take a backseat, in this case, enjoyment suffers. hopefully next year's first few months will be better, so we can play abit more before burying ourselves deep in books/notes for As.

Hey everyone! We are all in PW now, but I'm quite bored, so I am typing out a post for the class blog. And right, although we have gotten ourselves a class yahoo group, let's not let our blog die out too. I know we are all busy muggers who don't have time to go online, but maybe a post now and then will be cool! Yeah, can learn from me and type posts during lessons where we have access to computers instead of doing actual work. Yeah, and you know I just realised that today is tuesday, and that the western food stall sells french fries only on tuesday and thursday. I don't think the stall will still be open now, so I have to wait until Thursday to get french fries. -Hungryhungry- Yeah, can we please get our bbq settled? So we can meet up again with everyone. People, please please please try your best to go down okay? Don't care if you have something on that day, if can right, come down for like an hour or so will be good enough! Haha, to talk more crap, I realised that our class bench is actually a very nice place to nap. Around the afternoon somemore, because there will be occassional breezes blowing in, so it will be very cooling and if you can find a very comfortable position to sleep in, waahh you can have a damn shuang nap! JMJ says that physics is his favourite subject and that he feels damn smart during physics tutorial. Yeah, he also says that Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel are super cute. And he loves to eat honeydew because they are so sweet. And he is much better than a dog because he can catch a frisbee. :) One more period...

Update on the big BBQ plan... the BBQ pit at jan/tang/angie's place is not available in April. Is it ok with you guys if the venue is changed to my place? I can try to book but no promises though.. As for the water polo plan, haha i dunno if my pool is suitable.. It's quite shallow. Let me give you a gauge.. If John were to stand in the pool, more than half of his body would be above water level.hahahaz One good thing about shallow pool though, if you have leg cramps, you're not likely to drown. hehehez Anyway, my bro is still able to swim in it so it can't be that bad. But if you all still insist on having it at jan/tang/angie's place, they're trying to book it on 21st may.

We're having two periods of break now... We're currently in the ACJC library.. The good think about the coms here is that the connection is reasonably fast! Haha..It's actually our project work period but project work classes do not commence until next week!!! You guys have to see Helen Samuel everyday! Hahahahahahahhahahaha.... We don't... Hmmm... Did you know that Edric and I are in the same class again? Haha... We've been classmates since sec3... 3.13,4.13,05S76.. And now... 1SC3! Haha... Stupid class but I think we're gonna dominate this year... Because half our class consists of ppl who were from top jcs but messed up their English or combined humans (or both like Edric) and had to leave... Edric has the highest L1R5 in our class.. Haha... oh... Besides one 10 pointer... The majority of our class has 8 points... Kinda sad... huh? Haha...

Yo s76ers!!

Hey 76ers,
what do you guys think if we have a special class phrase for us and us alone? Let it be a few words long,and have it embody all that we hold true in s76. Here is how I came to put forward this suggestion to you guys.

Not too long ago,through coincidence,I found out that Daniel's ex sec4 class in Chinese High had a class phrase. It was kai3 xuan2 (yes,chinese). And for some period of time,everyone(I think) in his class had the words in some part of their msn nicknames.

So I was thinking,if we can find a phrase that suits us,we can all have the phrase in some part of our msn nickname. I think it contributes to our class spirit and bonding. The s76rs who had to leave HCI can also include it in their msn nicknames as well,since 'once a 76er,always a 76er'. We can use it for our banners,cheers,what not...The phrase can be in english or chinese,though I think chinese would be nicer.

I hope Daniel doesnt mind me posting this idea here,since his class was the original creator of the idea. If it seems unoriginal to you guys,then we shant adopt it. But I hope you guys would consider this,and please, post your responses(and suggestions for the phrase?). Thanks.

I'm in ACJC now and I have a really long break... I've had a break since 11.10... My break will end at 2.50... yupyup... How're you guys doing? Having a good time in Hwa Chong? Well... I'm in the ACJC library now... The library here is quite nice although there's no toilet inside it... I still miss you guys... I think we should have a class bbq soon... That'd be awesome... =)

ACJC is ok... I'd rather come back to Hwa Chong but ACJC is not too bad... I miss the Hwa Chong campus... In ACJC, everything is compressed into one building... It doesn't feel like a school... =( The canteen food here is also quite bad... The HC canteen food is better...

How are the second intakers? Are they a nice lot? Do they talk to you guys?? I know Martin is in our class... I bet Ezekiel likes that... Haha...

Well... If you guys ever get a chance, come down to ACJC and pay me a visit! I'll always welcome you guys! Honest! ^^ I'll notify you all of any upcoming ACJC events... You guys can accompany me! I'm really happy to be in this class, the wonderful 05S76, and I am very thankful to every single member of this class for making the first term a very memorable one! Come tomorrow, some people will be missing, and I know that I will miss every one of you, Aileen, Andrew, Yizhong, Edric, Eugene. But whatever happens, and I do hope that we can manage to keep our class the way it is however difficult that may be, let's all just be able to look back and think fondly of our first three months!

hey 76-ers, so sorry for not posting regularlyy but still do religiously come to check out this page, so keep the posts coming in.

been what, 3 months already? can still remember the first time we gathered as a class and was led on a loooooong walk with richmond, trying to find our missing classroom where mr.ngoi cld meet up with us. who can forget orientation? having zhong and mich lead us on our how-super-cool 76 hokkien cheers. : ) JTS, STJ, failure-at-kite-flying marina outing, class movies, class lunches, coro outings etc. not forgetting all the times we drive most tchers mad, go crazy during lectures, play with all sorts of apparatus/chemicals/materials during all the practicals.! we've been practically spending the past 3 months of school time together, as a class and im sure you guys wld agree that it feels great to be able to have somewhere to belong to.

posting results were released today. for andrew, zhong, eugene, aileen and edric, what else can we say? we really want you guys back in with us. : ) whatever it is, 76 is behindd you. yiyang is right, once a 76-er always a 76-er. how can one just simply cease being a 76-er? coz being a 76-er is being part of a huge chunk of memories that we've created over the past 3 months, since memories cant be deleted, re-created, forgotten, all of us, regardless of where our paths lead us from now onwards, will always be 76-ers! will keep the faith that you guys wld get the phone calls tmr night.

Hi people,
the first 3 months have past in a blink of an eye. it has been extremely enjoyable and entertaining to study with u guys. 76 rocks!! The posting results are released today...guess there are some unexpected surprises. Apparently the cut off point was ... Don't worry. People that appealled i think most of you will be able to get in. cheer up. the cca appeal result is coming out tomorrow so good luck. Seriously hope that 76 can stay together. it have definitely been a wonderful journey from total strangers to such a great class. all the best people.

Yo pple! This is Young here. How was your hols? Hope it was fun filled. Anyway, my hols were very packed and I hardly have anytime for myself.

I would like to apologise for the class outing thing. I didn't organise anything for you all. My rationale for doing so was that I wouldn't want to organise anything that I won't be going. As in, how do you even start organising something you can't go right? Kkk... I might seem to be finding excuses for my irresposibility and I sincerely apologise for that :( And oh! Please do not organise anything online again! I think that is a total waste of time! :P

Time passes so quickly.. just 2 posts ago, holidays were only starting and now it's 2 days to school reopen. Council elections are starting and you can show your support by leaving small commentz on ur fren's card.. especially on those from 05s76 =) Everyone must try to write one msg to each of the council nominees from our class k? And while you're there.. you might want to check out some of the messages already written... there's one very interesting one on drew's card =)

kk... hmmz... if you all are going to have a class outing during the march hols... there isn't much choice left now.. it's either on Saturday or Sunday... Maybe the Sentosa outing would take up too much time and it's quite hard to organise.. how about settling for a class movie date? Son of the Mask is out, might have quite abit of fun watching it.

Hello!

Everybody's writing words of encouragement so I've decided to try to contribute as well... O level results are gonna come out the day after tomorrow! I'm not sure about all of you guys but to be honest, I'm kinda excited! I mean... Things are gonna change... But I'm sure that we'll all still be friends right? Haha... 05S76 has been such an integral part of our lives these past couple of months... I mean... We've been through orientation together... Sang songs that we don't understand... I know I've made lots of new friends! I've had a really really great time...

Let's try and accept our O level results with an open mind... Even if it's not to our expectations even though I'm sure you all will do exceptionally well...

Well... I'm a Christian and during times like these it's only natural that I'd seek help and reassurance from the Bible and my Lord... So... I'd just like to quote a couple of verses that may be of some encouragement to a few of you out there...

ok its kinda late n i've been trying to do up the template the whole nite.. bah.. andrew tried to help haha but... ah well trying is good enough.. erm i came up with a new banner and a new page layout, but i m having trouble putting in the archives n the tagboard. sianx. the stupid tagboard's like within different cells of a table. and when i try to put the script into my own script which has a table oso, everything screws up. so.. i tink i shall try again tml den upload everything when its nice n proper... *thinkthink* erm okay but even so i tink i need help!! help!! anyone gd in scripting or something? geoffrey was in some IT club rite?? erm oso mebbe someone can come up with a collage which we can use as the image for the main body la. erm ya.. if u're using photoshop it shld be roughly 740 pixels by roughly 800 pixels.. and oh try to use higher res like mebbe 300 pixels per inch else it wun look too good... yups.. so haha i need help! yups.. erm actualli other template we're oso judged on participation n number of posts etc lei.. den our number of posts quite saddening den the bloggers oso not v varied.. always the same few drew or joy.. haha ah well.. ppl jiayou n blog more!!! judging should be abt nxt wk if im not mistaken... ok.. let u all see de banner first... hahas. tell mi if its not nice i can redo ! =) yay 76-ers rawk on...

there is no school this friday. li ji suggested that we try to have a class outing on that day.

sushi making part 2

Heeyyy!!! It is Yan Yan's turn to now give you all the periodic updates on our sushi making. We have just made a second california roll and it is currently residing in the freezer so that it will chill faster. Our fingers are crossed that it will taste better this time round because we have added more crabsticks and more mayo. And btw, for the first california roll, we didn't say that it tasted bad. We just said that it tasted BLAND. It was fine, it was edible, it just didn't have any unique taste about it. Michelle is currently mashing up tuna with mayo, and parsley suggested that we should add onions to it. Maybe we can kope some from the guys? Hahahah. We are going to try and make a tuna roll.

Aileen is still banging away on the piano, she has been at it since like 5 plus until now and she has not been helping with the sushi within that time period. Soooo, she is going to seriously suffer later. Plus she keeps on repeating the same songs over and over again. But they sound nice! And its good to have music in the background while doing stuff. Helps in mood control and all that. :) [Just in case aileen sees this, which I think she will. Hi Aileen!]

Mwhahahaha, quite hyper now, its very fun to be trying out all this sushi stuff. And all the chopping and frying and washing and cutting and squeezing. Oh, Tang, your that plastic wrap thing is very very fun to play with!

dahhhhh!! this is JOY! :D we're at michelle's house noww. basically the first california roll has just been made and tasted. hehh, according to our tasters [pars and yan], this first trial is actually quite okayy..BUT mich thinks nobody will buy it coz to her tastebuds, it kinda tastes qt bad. BUT never fear!!! coz we shall make it work SOMEHOW.

hoping there is more success over at the guys' side with the salsa sauce.

right now waiting for the jap rice to soak up the water for another 20mins before we can pressure-cook it and then, start the makin of the real california rolls. really hoping that this will turn out well. hahaha coz i think if we dont sell out whatever we have tmr, we're definitely gonna make a biggg loss.

k CNY announcement, ULTRA important. please help to spread the message arnd the class okay. on tuesday, there will be combinedd flag ceremony with the high school section. bell will ring at 7.20am, we are all supposed to be there at 7.30am. we are allowed to wear home clothes. but strictly no slippers, no sandals, no black/dark colours, no spag.strap, no revealing clothes for girls. all students are encouraged to wear RED. 05S76ers, pls adhere to the regulations okayy. dont want any of you to get scolded/blacklisted by any of the teachers.

i have the programme list with me. if you want to know the prog, either go to the CNY board outside council room, or come find me. i might stick the prog onto the class bench on monday.

and last announcement: bio prac on monday is cancelled. changed to one period of tutorial. hence, early dismissal can be used to clear up loose ends on CNY stall decor/ food etc. so coordinators, pls plan according. if there is any problem, feel free to find tang or me.

Hey everyone! Nice to see this going so smoothly...
Can we go ice skating?Its really really fun...Trust me...Might fall afew times, but hey...that's what makes it fun! =)
And how's JTS/STJ planning going?Do try to go to somewhere a little less rural than Marina bay this time...No doubt it was fun last time though!
About the stall, cant we have cheese to go with the nachos as well?All we need is a power supply and a hotplate to keep the cheese melted. Hmm...guess I'll stop here. Cya guys soon...Ciao...

Actually, i find the idea quite alright. It is like normal to give each other letters or small notes...execpt we need to keep people from opening up every and any letter they find. And if this is the case, we need a nicer 'tag' box. haha

By the way, another question: who is manning the CNY stall... the stall com. or what. And the salsa can look better as our dear andrew has shown us...

just a few reminders la k. those pple interested in blood donation, come get parental consent form from me k. its really doing a good deed and if your parents allow, why not support the cause? its promised to be 'painless & simple'. it will be held on the 15th of february and donors must be above 45kg to be able to donate. k consider carefully alright?

second thingg: we need a class temp seriously seriously. who can donate services?

third thing: welfare reps. JTS. STJ. when is it comingg up? been hearing that its tentatively on friday..which friday? coz next friday, i think chris and jen cant make it.

fourth thing: our next debate is after CNY. and the motion is 'THW support human cloning'. we are in the opposition team. edric, john and andrew have very kindly volunteered to form the second debate team. so if possible, try to support them by sourcing out useful information alright? and we need a reserve for the team too. its tentatively parsley right now, but if anyone of you is interested, please let us know.

fifth thing: CNY stall. i hope the salsa is gg good. the sushi will arrive in one piece. can we leave the salsa to you guys please? and stall decorations. ICs, please remember alrightt?

I'm totally bad at blogging...took such a long time to find out how to blog sighz... I'm still stuck in my chem tutorial zzzzz... liji sounds so poetic when she wrote "treasure this friendship" haha... We're going for JTS on Friday?? issit confirmed? sighz...if it is i'm going to miss it. Was looking forward to the next class outing... the kite flying was tiring, but fun... can we go fly kite again?? or maybe go ice skating... i'll have to learn though haha

Elloz babes and hunks of 05S76! Posting onto the blog for the first time to leave my imprints here. All the postings are just so interesting to read about. The rubber band, the class jacket, JTSTJ... everyone is just booming with ideas. Oh... Edric's photo is unique. Its like a scence taken from some ghost show. Maybe our class ppl have the potential to go into the flim industry. We are just too talented... haix. Lolz

Seriously, I find our class ppl to be extremely friendly, with a nice variety of ppl from different school all homogenously mixed.Its hard for us to meet, so hope that everyone will treasure this friendship. Oh no, am i preaching? Hope not! Yea don't worry, i will post more in future. Rox on class....

ok.. i'm screwed... bah... everyone's asking mi abt tutorials, dunno why we got so much work. sian diao.. doing bio essay now, nothing seems to make sense but heck just try to fill up one and a quarter page. james just told me that we must do mass spec tutorial.. ok.. so dead. i actualli started on moles tutorial first. =( why so much work... ugh.. i want to sleep.. shall sleep after i done bio... sian... newae.. lets form class band. andrew n john for guitars, me on the drums, mebbe james or someone for keyboards and someone for vocals. haha shall talk abt it on mondae..mebbe we can even make it for talenttime.. woohoo.. yay.
